The Color Palette of Life
I’m sure you too have experienced days where nothing, absolutely nothing worked out. Whatever you tackled, it just didn’t succeed. The sink overflowed and little Joey choked on a fishbone. The internet went out just as there was a sudden power outage in the whole district. Of course, the battery on your phone was dead and couldn’t be charged.
All at the same time.
But that wasn’t the end of it. As the door shut behind you, it struck you: You left the keys on the table! No more time to bother the janitor who could unlock it for you.
Rushing to the tram, which just leaves as you arrive panting at the stop.
And then it starts to rain.
You give up.
Luckily, not every day is like this, or one would go mad.
But such days are part of life, and they remind us that we are on the ‘school planet’ where you never stop learning.
On these ‘learning days,’ the whole spectrum of your existence might seem pitch dark. You feel overwhelmed, and if you see colors, they are gray or dark blue, or even shades of black.
No pastel color would stray into your elegy.
Clouds have covered your view of the world.
But just like an artist works on a canvas, you too have the ability to change the colors of your life.
Hypnotherapy can help discover and use new colors – colors of calm, healing, and hope. Imagine slowly adding a brighter blue to your palette, symbolizing peace and relaxation, or a vivid yellow representing joy and optimism.
With each session, these brighter colors can become stronger and start to transform the darker blue or gray and black into pastel tones.
But it’s not about eliminating the dark colors – they are a part of your story and your being.
It’s more about expanding the entire spectrum and learning to live with a richer, more balanced palette. Just as colors on a palette are mixed to create new tones and shades, you too can learn to reinterpret your not so good days, giving you more control and joy in life.
