Weight-loss program
Tim Ferris, entrepreneur and author of the bestseller “The 4-Hour
Workweek” quotes in one of his weekly blogs the English poet and
hymnodist William Cowper (1731-1800) who said:
“I believe no man was ever scolded out of his sins.”
What a quote! I don’t want to get too philosophical about it, but I want to give you a taste of how I implement this idea in my weight-loss program.
The program consists of 6 sessions and only in session 2 will I talk a little bit about food.
See, I will never ask you what you eat, never tell you what you should eat, because I don’t believe in diets and neither should you. How many times have you dieted before only to watch the pounds you worked so hard to lose return and even worse, you soon found out that you now weigh more than before the diet. I’m sure you beat yourself up over this “failure.”
That’s why we won’t talk about your food intake. My program is a loving one. I love you out of your excess weight and I do it with the powerful tools of NLP and hypnosis. These tools work, diets don’t.
What am I telling you in your second session about food? I talk about the “Andi Score” Dr. Joel Fuhrman created to rate how rich on a scale of 1 – 1,000 an individual fruit or vegetable is in micronutrients (i.e. vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients per calorie consumed). The more nutrient-dense food you consume, the more you will be satisfied with fewer calories.
Nutrient-dense foods are the ones that are most closely associated with reduced risk of chronic disease.
See, we eat to live but we should eat to live well and stay healthy. That’s common sense, not a piece of diet advice. Scolding has no place in a weight-loss program of suggestions to your subconscious mind where all the changes take place on the deepest level.
